About 900 students moved onto the Penn State Altoona campus on Thursday, Aug. 20 for the new academic year. The sign-in and unloading process, called a "well-oiled machine" by campus officials, began at 9 a.m. Students and their families were given 15 minutes in front of the residence halls to unload their belongings. Advisory board members, faculty, staff, students and Chancellor Lori J. Bechtel-Wherry were on hand to help students get settled into Penn State Altoona's four residence halls.
