'Last Comic Standing' finalist on campus Sept. 9

Drew Thomas, a finalist on the TV show "Last Comic Standing," will bring his unique insight on comedy to Penn State Harrisburg on Sept. 9. Thomas’ free public performance is at 9:30 p.m. in the Capital Village Community Center on campus. For information, phone 717-948-6273.

Also heard on Sirius Radio and currently the host of Phat Comedy Tuesday at the Twisted Taco in Atlanta, Ga., Thomas has built a comedic reputation throughout the nation with his accounts of relationship follies and retorts on everyday life and current affairs. He was voted the best comedian in Atlanta in 2006.

Born in Jamaica and raised in Bronx, N.Y., Thomas has honed his talents at Atlanta’s top comedy spots while headlining at numerous clubs, colleges, and universities throughout the U.S. as well as Canada, Jamaica, the Cayman Islands and the Bahamas. He has worked with Bill Burr, John Reep, Jim Norton, Bill Bellamy, Ron White, and a number of other top comics in the industry.

Thomas’ appearance is supported by a grant from the Student Activity Fee Fund.
