Spanier to discuss the 'State of the University' on WPSU-TV/FM

Penn State President Graham Spanier will talk about Penn State University's achievements over the past year and what's in store for the future as he reviews the 2009 State of the University address on the next edition of "To the Best of My Knowledge."

The annual report is in video format and will be shown during the program. Penn State makes this electronic message available so that more people have the opportunity to learn about the impact that the University is making around the world.

The live call-in program airs at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 15, on WPSU-TV and WPSU-FM. It also airs on the Pennsylvania Cable Network (PCN). President Spanier will be in the guest's seat for this program, as WPSU host Patty Satalia sits down with him to talk about the University's impact on research, technology, scholarship and service.

The University's Board of Trustees will first see the video of 2009 State of the University Address on Friday, Sept. 11.

A monthly feature on WPSU-TV and WPSU-FM, "To the Best of My Knowledge" features Penn State faculty, local experts and national guests in discussions on a variety of topics. In its 11th year of production, the program reaches viewers, Web users and listeners and allows the audience to communicate directly with Penn State's president.

WPSU serves central Pennsylvania with programming, educational services and community outreach. This public media service produces, acquires and distributes programs that address local interests and reflect the diverse cultural, political, geographic and demographic characteristics of an audience within central Pennsylvania.
