Law school to host '5K Race Judicata' at University Park

Rain or shine, prepare to pound the pavement on the morning of Saturday, Oct. 31, by participating in Penn State's Dickinson School of Law 5K Race Judicata to raise funds for the Law School's Public Interest Law Fund (PILF). The race will begin at 9 a.m. and is open to law students, staff, faculty, alumni and friends of the Penn State community. Leashed dogs are welcome, too.

Established by law students in the fall of 1990, the Penn State Dickinson Public Interest Law Fund is dedicated to promoting student interest and community involvement in the field of public interest law. Runners and walkers alike are encouraged to come out and show their support for PILF.

"By holding the 5K race twice a year, we hope to increase participation to promote the importance of public interest law," said race coordinator David Rasmussen. The race will be held in University Park in the fall and in Carlisle during the spring semester.

The race will begin and end at the Lewis Katz Building located on Bigler Road, just north of the intersection of Bigler Road and Park Avenue in State College. On the day of the race, all participants are asked to check in at the start/finish point between 7:30 and 8:30 a.m.

Interested runners and walkers can complete and submit the online race form or download, complete and mail a copy of the registration form found at http://law.psu.edu/news/RaceJudicata.cfm to Office of Student Services, Attention: Race Judicata, Penn State’s Dickinson School of Law, 105 Lewis Katz Building, University Park, PA 16802.
