Reynolds to speak at annual Hamilton lecture in Hershey

Dr. Herbert Y. Reynolds, professor emeritus and former chair of the Department of Medicine at the Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center and Penn State College of Medicine will deliver the third annual Rob Hamilton Memorial Lecture at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 17 in the media center above the new main lobby of the Medical Center. Registration begins at 5 p.m. with a reception to follow at 6:30 p.m.

Currently serving as medical officer in the Division of Lung Diseases of the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute, National Institutes of Health, Reynolds will speak on the topic of sarcoidosis, and the presentation and management of multi-organ disease. Sarcoidosis is a multi-systemic inflammatory disorder of unknown cause and has no cure. It is the disease that took the life of Rob Hamilton, a well-known local attorney for whom the lecture is named.

There is no cost to attend the lecture, but registration is required. Contact Cindy Liddick at cliddick@hmc.psu.edu or call 717-531-4878 to register.

The Hamilton Lecture is being held on the eve of the fourth annual Rob Hamilton Memorial Golf Tournament. The tournament will be held Friday at Hershey Country Club and will raise money for research, education and patient care initiatives within the Penn State Hershey Heart and Vascular Institute.
