The Beaver County Times team won the ninth annual Penn State Beaver Alumni Society Golf Outing held Monday, Sept. 11, at Seven Oaks Country Club, Brighton Township. Team members were Alan Buncher, Larry Boggs, Vaughan Vacar, and Scott Kegel.
The second place team was sponsored by Rep. Jim Christiana’s office: Jay Craigo, Randy Eckelberger, Nick Freidhoff and Noah Zamgias. Two teams tied for third place: the Michael Baker Team, comprised of Bruce Ahern, Greg Cerminara, Justin Smith and John Tricimi, and Robert’s Roadside Team, comprised of Bob Skerlac, Tom Stepian, Brian O’Connor and S. Talbot. Closest to the pin winners were Bill McGinty and Greg Cerminara. Longest drive winner was Tim Gray and longest first putt winner was Mike Hewitt. Prizes for the team members were awarded by the Seven Oaks Pro Shop.
Golf outing proceeds, which will be announced at a later date, will benefit Beaver campus students and programs.
