Academic advising brown bag lunch presentation planned

Every semester the Division of Undergraduate Studies offers brown bag lunch presentations featuring topics related to academic advising. These lunch-and-learn sessions are open to the Penn State community as opportunities for professional development, advising discussions and networking.

This semester "What Every Adviser Should Know about Fellowships" takes place from noon to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 4, in 110 Henderson Building, The Living Center, on Penn State's University Park campus. Attendees will learn about the mission and work within the University Fellowships Office and identify ways advisers and others who assist students can encourage them to prepare for fellowships and similar opportunities.

Presenting the session will be Ruth Mendum, director of the University Fellowships Office.
