WPSU Video on Demand: Dec. 8-14, 2009

Five programs produced by Penn State Public Broadcasting will be available on Comcast Video on Demand in December.

  • -- "Music Theatre Spotlight" will be available from Dec. 8 to Jan. 8. Watch 12 seniors from Penn State's renowned musical theatre program step into the spotlight to perform classic Broadway hits. Enjoy such songs as "They All Laughed," "The Promise" and "When the Sun Comes Out," performed in front of a live studio audience.
  • -- "State of the University" will be available from Dec. 8 to 14. President Graham Spanier delivered his 2009 State of the University Address to the Penn State Board of Trustees on Sept. 11. Watch as Spanier shows the ways Penn State is changing the world through research, scholarship and service.
  • -- "Courtside with Coquese" will be available from Dec. 8 to 14. The Emmy award-winning "Courtside with Coquese" returns for a second season. Follow the Penn State Lady Lion Basketball team through nonconference and Big Ten play (produced Jan. 9, 2009).
  • -- "D-Day" will be available from Dec. 8 to 14. D-Day, the June 6, 1944, Allied invasion of the beaches of Normandy, will live on in history as the beginning of the end of Nazi rule in Europe. This episode of "Victory at Sea," originally aired in the 1950s, tells the story of the historic day.
  • -- "Exploring Autism" will be available from Dec. 8 to 14. Autism affects one in 150 children in the United States. Hear experts tell the history of autism, describe the challenges faced by children with autism and outline strategies for parents.
