Book-making event to be held at Penn State Brandywine in honor of MLK

Join Penn State Brandywine for a book-making event called “Every Good Thing Starts with a Dream," to be held in honor of the Martin Luther King Day of Service from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 18, in room 203 of the Commons Building.

The stories will be based on Martin Luther King Jr’s “I Have a Dream” speech. Volunteers will create books that illustrate their dreams for the world, using the prompt “Every good thing starts with a dream, and my dream is … ” The books will be made using recycled paperboard for the book covers and a minimal amount of paper, in an effort to keep the project "green."

Lunch will be provided for volunteers and the first 75 volunteers to register will receive free T-shirts. This event is free and open to the public; for more information contact Amanda Moser at akm19@psu.edu.
