Penn State Law to hold 3rd Circuit spring meeting on Feb. 20

Each circuit of the American Bar Association's Law Student Division holds an annual spring meeting to bring law school leaders together to exchange ideas and develop camaraderie. This year Penn State's Dickinson School of Law will hold the 3rd Circuit spring meeting on Feb. 20, in room 112 of the Lewis Katz Building on Penn State's University Park campus.

The daylong event will include presentations by distinguished legal scholars on topics such as counterterrorism in the Obama Administration, the judicial confirmations process, and clerking for a U.S. Supreme Court Justice. Additionally, the spring meeting provides opportunities to network with leading practitioners and law students from Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

The spring meeting is open to all members of the legal community; American Bar Association membership is not required to attend. For more information about the meeting, including tentative agenda, travel arrangements and registration information visit http://www.abanet.org/lsd/spring/2010/3/home.html online. While there is no registration fee to attend, online advance registration closes on Feb. 12.

The election of the circuit governor for the 2010-11 term also will take place during the meeting. Questions regarding the spring meeting should be addressed to 3rd Circuit Governor Ashton Iranfar at azi106@psu.edu.
