Next Inside the Scientists' Studio is Thursday

University Park, Pa. -- February’s Inside the Scientists Studio (ISS), which is open to the public, is at 4 p.m. on Thursday, Feb., 18 in 100 Berg Auditorium. Graduate Women in Science (GWIS) is hosting an interactive interview series, ISS, featuring two women representing fields from the College of Engineering: Lindsay Fairman, senior software engineer with honors, Raytheon Division of Intelligence and Information Systems (IIS) and Peggy Johnson, department head, Civil and Environmental Engineering. The two will be interviewed about their personal and professional paths that eventually led to their positions today. Following a formal interview, the session will be open for questions from the audience. For those that cannot attend, the interview will be archived at: www.clubs.psu.edu/up/gwis/inside.htm.

ISS interactive interviews are with Penn State faculty and staff, as well as industry and government professionals in the science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields and are held on the third Thursday of every month. ISS is sponsored by ArcelorMittal, UNISYS, The Huck Institute, and the Women in Sciences and Engineering (WISE) Institute.
