New book chronicles the founding of Milton S. Hershey Medical Center

C. Max Lang, the first department chair of Penn State College of Medicine’s Department of Comparative Medicine, has published “The Impossible Dream: The Founding of The Milton S. Hershey Medical Center." Published by AuthorHouse, the book covers the period of the mid-1950's to the entering of the first class in 1967, and includes information on Milton S. Hershey; his associates and factory; legal challenges; interactions between a foundation and university; and construction and recruitment. The book is available at the College of Medicine's bookstore and from several popular retailers.
