Penn State Hershey Cancer Institute plans Educational Forum March 13

The Penn State Hershey Cancer Institute, in partnership with the American Cancer Society, Pennsylvania Division, South Central Region, will host the sixth annual Public Forum: Reducing Cancer in Our Community beginning at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 13.

This event will take place at the University Conference Center on the campus of Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center and will cover three main topics: behavior and cancer; cancer incidence in central Pennsylvania; and breast cancer risks. Penn State Hershey Cancer Institute experts will offer lectures on topics including smoking cessation, obesity and cancer, colorectal cancer, community outreach related to cancer in Pennsylvania, genes and breast cancer, and environmental health factors of breast cancer.

The forum is open to community leaders, patients and their families, patient advocate groups, teachers, community organizations and members of the general public. This event is free, but registration is recommended.
