Penn State trustee election ballot positions announced

University Park, PA. -- Ballot positions for the 2010 election of trustees by alumni have been determined by a drawing, a procedure established by Penn State's Board of Trustees.

Paula R. Ammerman, associate secretary, conducted the drawing and said ballots for the trustee election will be mailed to Penn State Alumni by April 9. All ballots must be returned by the close of the election at 9 a.m. EDT on Thursday, May 13.

The names of the candidates for three positions on the board to be elected by alumni, and the order in which they will appear on the ballot, are as follows (year of graduation, business title/profession, and place of residence are also provided):

– James D. King, '78 LA, president and chief investment officer, National Penn Investors Trust Company, North Wales, Pa.

– Raymond J. Lattanzio, '90 LA, industrial/organizational psychologist, MITRE Corporation, Springfield, Va.

– Paul V. Suhey, '79 LA, orthopedic surgeon and partner, Martin & Suhey Orthopedics, Boalsburg, Pa.

– Stephanie Nolan Deviney, '97 JD DSL, attorney, Fox Rothschild LLP, Glenmoore, PA.

– Larry M. Newman, '72 Bus, '81g PhD Bus, dean of the College of Business Administration, Rider University, Lawrenceville, N.J.

– George T. Henning, Jr., '63 LA, interim chief executive officer, president and chief financial officer, Aventine Renewable Energy Holdings Inc., State College, Pa.

– Steve A. Garban, '59 Bus, senior vice president for finance and operations/treasurer emeritus, The Pennsylvania State University, State College, Pa.
