Ballroom Dance Club's intercollegiate competition set for March 27

The Penn State Ballroom Dance Club's 7th Annual Keystone Classic intercollegiate competition is Saturday, March 27. The daylong competition features competitors from Penn State, Carnegie Mellon University, Rutgers University, the University of Maryland and the University of Virginia. The Penn State team will compete in various levels and in all competition-style dances, including the waltz, tango, quickstep, foxtrot, cha cha, rumba, samba and jive.

The competition, which begins at 10 a.m. in 126 White Building, is open to the public and is free for spectators. A professional showcase at 6:30 p.m. will feature professional dancer Mayo Alanen and his partner, Michelle Officer. Mayo has been on "Dancing With The Stars" and "So You Think You Can Dance," and he and Michelle appears in Disney's Enchanted.
