International Spring Festival brings the world to Penn State

University Park, Pa. -- The International Student Council is gearing up for one of Penn State’s largest student run international events: the International Spring Festival. The Festival will be held from 6 to 8:30 p.m. on Sunday, April 11, in Alumni Hall of the HUB-Robeson Center. The collaborative event will celebrate the rich cultural and artistic diversity of Penn State, with performances varying from a Turkish interpretive piece to Chinese folk songs, African drums, Iranian dancing and more. An international fashion show will showcase traditional and contemporary threads from across the globe, while the global date auction will give audience members their chance to bid on an evening with an exotic international student.

Exhibits by international student organizations will encourage cultural conversations and an enticing ethnic dinner will be served. All proceeds of the festival will be donated to Haiti. Tickets are $13 for students and $15 for non-students. Tickets can be obtained by contacting Nicole O’Block at nbo5008@psu.edu.
