Campus marks Earth and Unity Day with celebration and service project

Student activities is sponsoring an Earth Day and Unity Day celebration from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday, April 22, at the campus in Center Valley. Tie-dying and a selection of foods from around the globe will be offered outdoors on the campus grounds, weather permitting.

On Friday, April 23, the campus community will join with the Lehigh Valley Conservation District and the Penn State Lehigh County Agricultural Extension Office in an on-campus Earth Day service project. Volunteers are asked to meet in Centre Hall at 9:15 a.m. to begin the service project which will conclude around noon. A pizza lunch will be provided for all volunteers.

Members of the campus community who are interested in volunteering for the service project are asked to sign up in Student Affairs (room 214) and to wear sneakers and gardening-appropriate attire for the project.
