Penn State Harrisburg Summer Youth Program offers new camps

Each year, more than 500 children and adolescents participate in one of the region’s most extensive and ambitious summer educational endeavors -- Penn State Harrisburg’s Summer Youth Program.

This year, 90 academic and sports camps for students entering grades 2-12 include science, nature, technology, history, language and culture, music and performing arts, math, environment, writing, literature, art, animal care, SAT exam prep, water sports, junior lifeguarding, soccer, baseball, tennis and basketball.

With a mission of filling idle summer days with education and fun learning experiences, the 15- and 30-hour camps meet June 14-18, June 21-25, June 28-July 2, July 5-9, July 12-16, and July 19-23. The program is conducted and organized by Penn State Harrisburg’s Office of Continuing Education.
