Brandywine professor pens page-turning whodunit

Priscilla F. Clement, professor emerita of history and women's studies, is the author of "Blood on the Path," a spine-tingling murder mystery set in the resort town of Eagles Mere, where Clement and her family have vacationed for years. The plot involves the disappearance of a young girl during a local event in 1959 and the attempts, years later, to solve the mystery.

During the nearly 40 years that she taught at Penn State Brandywine, Clement received three teaching awards. She is the author of numerous articles and several books on various aspects of the history of children and of welfare and poverty in the United States. "Blood on the Path" is her first novel.
