On Saturday, Aug. 28, the Penn State Beaver Lady Lions basketball team participated in the Run for Life 5K, a race designed to raise funds for the Women’s Center of Beaver County. The basketball team raised $240 for the Women’s Center.
Lady Lions who participated in the event were Megan Stephens, Amy Green, Noelle Milsozewski, Jasmine Green, Brittany Tomaselli, Brooke Mulneix, Hali DeSarro, Taylor Fulton, and Maria Corradi. Participating staff members were Bert DeSalvo, head coach; Tim Moore, assistant coach, and Becky Mulholland, adult and transfer admissions counselor.
The women’s basketball team will continue their 2010-2011 community service campaign when they team up with Girls’ Hope of Pittsburgh for an event on Sunday, Sept. 5.
