Career Fair has minor impact on parking at University Park

University Park, Pa. -- Fall Career Days 2010 is now at Bryce Jordan Center and continues through Sept. 16. Ample parking is available for all commuter permit holders due to the addition of lot Porter North (North of the baseball stadium). All parking rules and regulations remain in effect. Vehicles illegally parked will be sanctioned.

Student parking is as follows:

Parking for students attending Career Days is in commuter lots Jordan East, Stadium West and Porter North. If one is full, students must use parking in one of the other two lots. Parking along travel lanes, fields or other areas not designated for parking is prohibited. A valid student parking permit must be displayed. Students from University Park should walk or use the transit system to get to the Jordan Center.

Students from non-University Park locations or without a valid commuter parking permit have two options:
1. Purchase a one-day commuter permit ($4) to park in the commuter lots. Permits are available at the Penn State Centre County Visitor's Center.
2. Park in the East Deck and pay the hourly fee ($1).

Career Services posted a map on their website showing directions to the East Deck and other pertinent information.

Also, ample parking is available for all Faculty/Staff commuter (CR) permit holders in commuter lots Stadium West, Jordan East and Porter North.

NOTE: Commuter lots on Wednesday Sept.15 will have heavy traffic. Commuters are advised to allow extra time getting to their destination Sept. 14 to 16.
