Free tickets available for Sept. 28 event featuring VP Biden at HUB

University Park, Pa. -- Free tickets are available for a rally featuring Vice President Joe Biden, Tuesday, Sept. 28, on Penn State's University Park campus.

The rally, titled "Moving America Forward," will be held in the Alumni Hall of the HUB-Robeson Cultural Center in the core of campus. The event, sponsored by the Penn State College Democrats, is being held in conjunction with a rally being attended by President Barack Obama at the University of Wisconsin. The rallies are part of a push by Democrats to excite young voters as the November election nears.

The event is free and open to the public, but those with free tickets will be granted priority seating. Student tickets are available at the HUB Information Desk on Monday from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. and Tuesday from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Students must show an ID to obtain a ticket and only one ticket per student ID will be provided. In addition, both student and public tickets are available at the Centre County Democratic Headquarters at 224 S. Allen Street, State College Borough, on Monday between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Doors for the Tuesday event will open at noon and the program will begin at 1:20 p.m. Attendees are asked not to bring backpacks or bags to the rally, however, a bag check will be available in Room 110 HUB.

Use of public transportation is encouraged. Attendees should expect airport-like security. No signs or banners are permitted.
