Sports Illustrated College Football Experience to visit Penn State

University Park, Pa. — A pair of Penn State standouts - Franco Harris and Jordan Norwood - will be among the participants at the Sports Illustrated College Football Experience Presented by Nissan here this weekend.

The event will be held Saturday (Oct. 30) and will precede the highly-anticipated Penn State-Michigan clash, which will kick at 8 p.m. in a sold out Beaver Stadium.

The Sports Illustrated College Football Experience Presented by Nissan will be located at the Penn State Street Festival along Curtin Road, adjacent to the Beaver Stadium and the Bryce Jordan Center. Admission to the tour is free.

A member of the Cleveland Browns' practice squad, Norwood (2005-08) will participate in an "SI Chalk Talk" and autograph session from 3:30-5:00 p.m.

A member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame, Harris (1969-71) will appear from 5:30-7:00 p.m. and also participate in an "SI Chalk Talk" and autograph session.

The Sports Illustrated College Football Experience will open at 1:00 p.m. and include interactive activities and an opportunity to win prizes, as well as register for the Nissan Championship Ultimate Experience Sweepstakes.

Fans also will have an opportunity to have their photo taken on the cover of Sports Illustrated with the Heisman Trophy.

Penn State will host No. 25 Michigan in Beaver Stadium on Saturday for the critical Big Ten clash. The contest will air on ESPN, the Penn State Sports Network and www.GoPSUsports.com

On Friday, the Penn State women's volleyball team will host Indiana at 6:30 p.m. in Rec Hall. Immediately following the volleyball match, at approximately 7:45 p.m., the Rally in the Valley will be held, featuring Coach Joe Paterno and the Nittany Lion football team.
