Veterans Day observance to be held at Penn State Fayette Nov. 11

A special Veterans Day observance will be held at Penn State Fayette, The Eberly Campus at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 11, on the lawn in front of the Williams Building. The campus holds this annual observance to honor the men and women in uniform, past and present, who have served and continue to serve our nation. The free event is open to the public.

The observance will include a welcome by Francis Achampong, chancellor of Penn State Fayette; a singing of "The Star-Spangled Banner” by the Penn State Fayette campus choir; invocation by the Rev. Alfred Thompson, a veteran and former Penn State Fayette student; guest speaker Therman King, a veteran and current Penn State Fayette student; the laying of the wreath by Penn State ROTC students; and a playing of “Taps” by Penn State Fayette professor Dave Meredith.
