University Park, Pa. — The Penn State Nittany Lion and Lady Lion Basketball teams will make a combined total of at least 35 television appearances during their 2010-11 seasons, starting with a pair of games this weekend.
Coach Ed DeChellis' Nittany Lions will make 24 TV appearances this year, as well as every game from the Big Ten Tournament. The Nittany Lions' first TV game is Friday, Nov. 19, when they host Fairfield, the MAAC pre-season favorite, at 7:30 p.m. on the Big Ten Network. Penn State can be seen on the Big Ten Network at least 20 times this season.
The Nittany Lions will make at least three appearances on ESPN or ESPN2, starting with the Wednesday, Dec. 1 home clash with Maryland in the Big Ten-ACC Challenge, which tips in the Bryce Jordan Center at 9:15 p.m. on ESPN2. The Nittany Lions and Terrapins will be playing for the first time since 1990. Penn State's Feb. 17 home game with Minnesota will air at 7 p.m. on ESPN or ESPN2 and its Feb. 24 game at Northwestern will air at 9 p.m. ET on ESPN2 or ESPN2.
Coach Coquese Washington's Lady Lions are scheduled for at least 10 TV appearances this season, in addition to every game from the Big Ten Tournament. The Lady Lions' first TV game is Sunday, Nov. 21, when they host South Carolina at 3:30 p.m. on the Big Ten Network. Penn State can be seen on the Big Ten Network at least nine times this season and its Jan. 16 home game with Illinois will air on ESPN2 at 4 p.m.

The Big Ten Network also will have an extensive schedule of Student U broadcasts that will be televised on delayed basis, while numerous other Penn State and Big Ten basketball games will be streamed live at www.BigTenNetwork.com.
