Presentation on sustainability at Penn State set for Nov. 30

The Department of Agricultural and Biological Engineering will hold a presentation titled “Blue and White Makes Green: Sustainability at Penn State” presented by Erik Foley, director of the Campus Sustainability Office, from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. on Nov. 30 in room 244 of the Agricultural Engineering Building.

Foley will give an overview of the current state of sustainability strategy and activities across the institution from operations to research to teaching to outreach. He will dispel some common sustainability myths, highlight best practices and lead a discussion on how the College of Agriculture and the Department of Ag Engineering can contribute and take a leadership role in this new area. The quickly growing Penn State Green Teams Network will be a central focus of the discussion. Attendees are encouraged to visit http://www.green.psu.edu/ before the talk and familiarize themselves with the Green Teams program.
