Registration open for creative photography course

Register now for “Creative Photography: Through the Doctor’s Lens” presented by Michael J. Green. Sessions will take place from 5 to 6:30 p.m. on Dec. 7, 14 and 21, and Jan. 4, at Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center in room C1800. This mini-course is designed to help participants see the world through the lens of a camera and to improve their visual vocabulary and photographic skills.

The workshop is an introduction to the art of photography, but it’s not just for beginners. It’s for anyone who wants to challenge themselves to see things in a new way and to learn how to present their observations in a visually exciting manner. Although this is not a medical photography course, the instructor hopes it will help doctors to be better at what they do by compelling them to spend more time making careful observations, focusing their attention and interpreting information visually.

The course is an opportunity for participants to express themselves in a creative manner. The class is open to people of all experience levels, from the beginner to the experienced photographer. All that is needed is a positive attitude, a camera and a willingness to try something new.

To participate and receive CME credit, send an e-mail to Lori Coover at ljc@psu.edu.

The session is limited to seven participants and is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
