Associate dean of academic affairs to hold book signing Dec. 11

Ken Womack, associate dean of academic affairs at Penn State Altoona, will have a book signing  for his new book "John Doe No. 2 and the Dreamland Motel" from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 11, at the Altoona Barnes & Noble. The fictional work is a tragicomic account of Timothy McVeigh’s last desperate months of freedom, as he prepared to unleash one of the deadliest acts of domestic terrorism in the nation’s history – the1995 bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Building in Oklahoma City. Womack’s novel traces one man’s downward spiral toward the act of evil that will brand his name in infamy and another’s desperate hope to save his friend’s soul before it’s too late.

Womack is the author of numerous nonfiction books, including "Long and Winding Roads: The Evolving Artistry of the Beatles."
