Commission for Adult Learners seeks proposals for incentive grants

The Commission for Adult Learners' 2011 Incentive Grant program will provide start-up funds for new and innovative programs and services supporting the recruitment and retention of adult learners throughout the Penn State community. New this year, the commission is asking that programs and services seeking funding incorporate a diversity focus. The goal is to increase outreach and services to adult learner women, people of color/first-generation students and the LGBT community.

Staff, faculty and adult student organizations are eligible to submit proposals for programs and services that will be implemented during 2011. The maximum single award will be $2,000. As part of the program, the campus or unit requesting funding must match $1 for every $2 of grant funding.

For information about submitting proposals, visit http://www.outreach.psu.edu/commission/incentive-grants.html online. Questions may be directed to Judy Wills at jcw@outreach.psu.edu or 814-863-1316. The submission deadline is Jan. 28.
