Devices to be replaced as part of Copier Management Program

The Penn State Multimedia and Print Center has announced a new five-year contract with Ricoh Company Ltd., as part of the University's Copier Management Program. Across the University, all multifunction devices (copiers, fax machines and printers) procured under the previous contract will be replaced with appropriate devices after the completion of an assessment of existing and potential future needs. Replacements will start immediately at the Penn State Hershey Medical Center and the Penn State College of Medicine; replacements for University Park and Penn State's Commonwealth Campuses will commence in March, with open houses scheduled in February.

As part of the contract, Ricoh will be providing annual scholarships and internships. The company also will assist in the secure disposal of data on existing equipment, work with the University to evaluate it's office printing costs and strategy, and will have a working demo center in the HUB-Robeson Center.
