Limited number of Obama tickets available for employees and students

President Obama's visit now Thursday, Feb. 3

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa., -- President Barack Obama will be on Penn State’s University Park campus on Thursday, Feb. 3, where he will speak at Rec Hall. University students and employees are invited and a limited number of tickets will be available.

Tickets will be available on a first-come, first-served basis starting at noon, Tuesday, Feb. 1, in Heritage Hall of the HUB-Robeson Center. A Penn State ID is required and tickets are limited to one per person.

Attendees are asked to arrive at Rec Hall at 9 a.m. Thursday (day of his talk) for security reasons. No access will be allowed after 11 a.m. Attendees are asked to limit personal items: no umbrellas, signs, banners, strollers, baby bags, drinks, containers or liquids will be permitted upon entry to Rec Hall on Thursday.

Others wishing to watch the president’s remarks live on campus are welcome to go to auxiliary viewing locations at South Gym in Rec Hall and the HUB, where there will be large screen monitors. Tickets will not be required at these locations. The speech also will be broadcast live on the Big Ten Network.
