Founder of nonprofit Traveling Mercies to speak at HUB on Feb. 23

Aldo Magazzeni, founder of nonprofit foundation Traveling Mercies, will give a talk about his work at 6 p.m. on Feb. 23 in the Auditorium at the HUB-Robeson Center on Penn State's University Park campus.

Traveling Mercies, founded in October 2007, is dedicated to helping others while working to remove barriers between cultures, promoting the sharing of strengths, assets, and blessings between individuals. Magazzeni was born in Abruzzo, Italy and lived in a rural mountain village, poor and damaged by the effects of World War II. At the age of six, he immigrated to Philadelphia with his parents. Aldo attended Penn State, where he earned a bachelor of science degree in business logistics in 1972.
