Graduate Student Research Forum is March 3-4

Penn State Hershey's College of Medicine is fortunate to have an outstanding group of graduate students in a variety of disciplines. On Thursday March 3, and Friday, March 4, many of them will share their research at the annual Graduate Student Research Forum. The forum promotes interaction and the exchange of ideas between students and faculty. It introduces students to the format generally used at scientific meetings, and it provides an opportunity to recognize excellence in graduate students and their research in the College of Medicine.

The Forum begins at 4 p.m. on March 3 with a research seminar by George A. Calin of the University of Texas, MD Anderson Cancer Center, titled "Noncoding RNAs from Bench to Patient’s Bedside.". The seminar will be held in Lecture Room D on the Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center campus, and all are welcome to attend.

Events on March 4 include more than 50 poster presentations showcasing the various talents of the students. At least 10 students will provide oral presentations. Everyone is invited to take in all or part of this important day and to show support the Hershey graduate students.

The Graduate Student Research Forum is sponsored by the Graduate Student Association. For more information, call 717-531-8892.
