Professor's book reviewed on WPSU for Black History Month

"The River is Rising," the third book of poetry by Patricia Jabbeh Wesley, assistant professor of English at Penn State Altoona, was selected as the pick of the week in celebration of Black History Month on WPSU's radio show, "Bookmark." The book review, done by Alyse Bensel, a student in the creative writing program at University Park, focused on Jabbeh Wesley’s examination of her immigrant experience, of her life in the Alleghenies, her survival story of war, and the importance of remembering and recording history.

The radio review aired on WPSU radio Feb. 16. You can listen to the review at http://wpsu.org/radio/single_entry/LL-3540/bookmark online.
