Kaut earns second CAA Men's Lacrosse Rookie of the Week nod

University Park, Pa. — Penn State Nittany Lion men's lacrosse player Austin Kaut (Morton, Pa.) has been named the Colonial Athletic Association Rookie of the Week for the week ending March 6.

The award is the second this year for the freshman goalie. Kaut tallied 16 saves in Penn State's 6-5 triple-overtime loss to No. 12 Ohio State on Saturday. The rookie now has a superb 6.04 goals against average with a .683 save percentage. Kaut faced 106 shots and played every minute for Penn State through three games.

Penn State is 1-3 on the year following a loss at Villanova on Wednesday and hosts Rutgers at 3 p.m. on Saturday at Bigler Field.
