Students will host sixth annual Communications Day

Penn State Beaver junior and senior communications students will host the sixth annual Communications Day from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., Thursday, March 24. Programs will be held in the Student Union Building and the Michael Baker Building on campus. Beaver hosts the event for local high school students to introduce them to potential career paths in television, radio, print journalism, special event planning, social media, public relations and marketing.

Guest speakers will include ‘Flick’ from 96.1 KISS FM radio; former ‘Survivor’ finalist Ian Rosenberger; Aimee Gelston and Jay Mitchell of Strategic Images; Bobby Cherry of the Sewickley Herald; special event planners Jessica DiPetro and Karen Zimmerman; Rachel Fornataro and Linda Mathesius of Integra Marketing Group; and several broadcasters from WBVR, the Beaver campus radio station.
