Ingrid Scott appointed associate editor of Archives of Opthamology

Ingrid U. Scott, professor of ophthalmology and public health sciences at Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, has been appointed associate editor of Archives of Ophthalmology. Published by the American Medical Association, Archives of Ophthalmology has an international circulation of nearly 13,000, is among the top journals in ophthalmology with respect to impact factor and circulation, and was rated by the Special Library Association as one of the "top 100" most influential journals in the biomedical and life sciences.

Scott has published more than 230 peer-reviewed papers as well as 24 book chapters, and serves on the editorial board of numerous ophthalmology journals. She serves as chair of the Ophthalmic Technology Assessment Committee Retina Panel of the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO) and is a member of the AAO's Preferred Practice Patterns Retina Panel. Scott received the American Medical Association's Physician's Recognition Award with Commendation (2010-2013) and has been named to the Best Doctors in America every year since 2003.
