Commission for Adult Learners seeks nominations for two awards

The Commission for Adult Learners is seeking nominations for two annual awards recognizing excellent service to prospective and enrolled adult learners by faculty, staff and students University-wide. The commission will honor these achievements during the annual Hendrick Best Practices for Adult Learners Conference on May 16 at The Penn Stater Conference Center Hotel.

Nominations are being sought for:

-- The Superior Service to Adult Learners Award, which recognizes an individual or team that has positively affected adult learners through direct service or by improving the campus environment for adult learners; and

-- The Outstanding Adult Learner Recruitment or Retention Program Award, which recognizes an outstanding recruitment or retention program that helps this student population through its originality, program goals, program effectiveness, sensitivity to diversity, use of technology, number of learners served and overall impact on recruitment and retention.

University faculty, staff and students are invited to submit nominations. Award information and online nomination forms are available on the Commission for Adult Learners' website at http://www.outreach.psu.edu/commission/award.html. The submission deadline is April 15.
