Blue blanks White, 10-0, in rain-shortened contest

University Park, Pa. — A day long rain turned into a downpour at halftime, prompting an early end to Penn State's Blue-White Game, with the Blue posting 10-0 win.

The highlight event during Blue-White Weekend presented by AAA, Matt McGloin (Scranton) threw a 17-yard touchdown pass to Brandon Moseby-Felder (Fort Washington, Md.) for the game's lone touchdown. Wide receiver Evan Lewis (Gettysburg) handled the placekicking duties and connected on a 20-yard field goal to begin the scoring early in the second quarter.

The game was called after two plays in the third quarter. Nineteen Nittany Lions were not available for the Blue-White Game due to injuries and Coach Joe Paterno did not want to risk the safety of the players or fans as the intensity of the rain increased.

The Blue-White Game presented by AAA will air on the Big Ten Network Sunday at 9 a.m. and Wednesday at 10:30 p.m. For photos from the day's events, go to http://live.psu.edu/flickrset/72157626387340651.
