University Libraries hours set for study days

To accommodate end of semester study needs, Pattee and Paterno Libraries are open until 2 a.m. every night, from Wednesday, April 27 through Thursday, May 5, excluding Friday, April 29, and Saturday, April 30, when they close at midnight. The Study All Night area, on the first and ground floors of Pattee Library, are open for 24-hour service at noon on Sunday, April 24, and stay open until 7 p.m. on Friday, May 6. This area also includes the computer lab.

The four branch libraries at University Park — Architecture and Landscape Architecture, Earth and Mineral Sciences, Engineering and Physical and Mathematical Sciences Libraries — are open until 11 p.m., Monday–Thursday and Sunday, during this time.

Mackinnon's Café, located on the ground floor of Pattee Library, west, also will stay open later for study days. The hours will be posted on its door, or call 814-865-9380 for information.

Another service added for the convenience and safety of students is the late-night CATA bus service. The Blue Loop will run until 2:21 a.m. and the White Loop will run until 2:15 a.m., from Wednesday, April 27 through Friday, May 6.  The buses will run approximately every 20 minutes and the service is free. The additional hours are sponsored by the University Libraries and Information Technology Services.

Pattee and Paterno Libraries will close at 7 p.m. on Friday, May 6, and 5 p.m. on Saturday, May 7. All Libraries will be closed on May 8. Intersession hours will begin on May 10. Call ahead to confirm hours. 814-865-3063 or go to www.libraries.psu.edu/hours
