Student films to highlight Blue and White Film Festival

More than a dozen films produced by students in the College of Communications at Penn State will be screened during the Blue and White Film Festival on Thursday, April 28, at the State Theatre in State College.

Films featured during the event were created, directed and produced by individual students or groups of students during the 2010-2011 academic year. This is the fourth year the event will be held at the State Theatre, located at 130 W. College Ave.

Screenings begin at 7 p.m. and continue until 9:30 p.m. A reception for alumni, faculty and family members will follow.

The event is open to the public. Tickets cost $7 and may be purchased online at http://www.statetheatre.org/ or in person at the theatre.

A DVD with films screened during the festival will be sold by the Penn State Student Film Organization for $10. The festival is presented by the Student Film Organization with support from the University Park Allocation Committee.
