Sporting clays event raises $70,000

The 15th annual Sporting Clays charity event raised more than $70,000 for Children’s Miracle Network at Penn State Hershey Children’s Hospital. The event was held April 9 at Hummelstown Field & Stream and was organized by Penn State Hershey Medical Center’s facilities department and friends of the Medical Center. Source One Furniture was the event’s top sponsor contributing $10,000.

Over the past 15 years, this event has raised more than $622,000 for Children's Miracle Network, making it the most successful Medical Center employee fundraiser for Children's Miracle Network.

Children’s Miracle Network is an international non-profit organization that has affiliations with 170 children’s hospitals. Children’s Miracle Network at Penn State Hershey Children’s Hospital, Penn State Hershey Medical Center serves the Harrisburg, Lancaster, Lebanon and York region. Children’s Miracle Network’s mission is to raise funds for children’s services and create community awareness of children’s issues. Money raised by Children’s Miracle Network goes directly toward patient services, research, equipment, program services and educational resources at Penn State Hershey Children’s Hospital. Children’s Miracle Network has raised more than $37 million since it began locally in 1984.
