HUB Deck closed first two weekends in June for road construction

University Park, Pa. -- To accommodate the construction project taking place on Shortlidge Road, the HUB Parking Deck will be closed from 6 p.m. Friday, June 3, to 5 a.m. Monday, June 6, and again from 6 p.m. Friday, June 10, to 5 a.m. Monday June 13. Faculty, staff and students who normally use the HUB Deck on the weekend will find ample parking available in Lot Brown C or the Eisenhower Parking Deck. University vehicles normally parked in the HUB Deck must be moved to Lot Brown C or the Eisenhower Deck prior to deck closures.

Through June 5, the HUB Deck will be accessible from College Avenue. Beginning at 5 a.m. on June 6, portions of Shortlidge Road will be closed for improvements south of the HUB Deck and access to the parking deck will be from Pollock Road only until work is completed on Aug. 1. To facilitate the flow of traffic throughout the project, northbound traffic on Shortlidge Road will be diverted onto McKean Road, to Bigler Road, to Curtin Road.

Other transit modifications during this project will be as follows, until Aug. 1:

-- Campus Shuttle stop No. 6 is closed; service to stops No. 5 and No. 7 will continue. To see a map of the Campus Shuttle route, visit http://www.transportation.psu.edu/shuttle/ online.

-- CATA buses traveling east on campus take Curtin Road to Bigler Road, Bigler Road to Hastings Road, Hastings Road to University Drive, and University Drive to the exit ramp onto College Avenue, where busesresume normal routing at College Avenue and Heister Street. A temporary bus stop has been placed at the intersection of Bigler Road and Pollock Road to accommodate passengers normally boarding at the Pollock Road stop.

-- CATA buses entering campus from Hastings Road travel Hastings Road to Bigler Road, continuing on Bigler Road to Curtin Road, where they turn right on Curtin Road, travel Curtin Road to University Drive and travel on University Drive to the exit ramp onto College Avenue, where the buses resume normal routing at College Avenue and Heister Street. Patrons will use the Blue Loop stops near Nittany Apartments and the Wagner Building to board in this area.
