Graduate student wins poster award at research expo

Gustavo Camargo, a doctoral student in agricultural and biological engineering, won first place in the physical and engineering sciences division at the 2011 Gamma Sigma Delta Research Expo.

Camargo's winning poster was titled "Biofuel Potential of Cellulosic Double Crops across the U.S. Corn-Soybean Belt." He is advised by Tom Richard, director of the Penn State Institutes of Energy and the Environment.

Gamma Sigma Delta is a national agricultural sciences honor society. The annual expo serves as a showcase for undergraduate and graduate student research advised by faculty members in the College of Agricultural Sciences.
