University Park, Pa. -- The HUB Parking Deck on the University Park campus will remain open this weekend (June 10-13), the Penn State Parking Office has announced. The previously planned closure is no longer necessary. Until improvements to Shortlidge Road are completed on Aug. 1, access to the HUB Deck will be from Pollock Road only. To facilitate the flow of traffic throughout the project, northbound traffic on Shortlidge Road will be diverted onto McKean Road, to Bigler Road, to Curtin Road.
Other transit modifications during this project will be as follows, until Aug. 1:

-- CATA buses traveling east on campus take Curtin Road to Bigler Road, Bigler Road to Hastings Road, Hastings Road to University Drive, and University Drive to the exit ramp onto College Avenue, where busesresume normal routing at College Avenue and Heister Street. A temporary bus stop has been placed at the intersection of Bigler Road and Pollock Road to accommodate passengers normally boarding at the Pollock Road stop.
-- CATA buses entering campus from Hastings Road travel Hastings Road to Bigler Road, continuing on Bigler Road to Curtin Road, where they turn right on Curtin Road, travel Curtin Road to University Drive and travel on University Drive to the exit ramp onto College Avenue, where the buses resume normal routing at College Avenue and Heister Street. Patrons will use the Blue Loop stops near Nittany Apartments and the Wagner Building to board in this area.
