Independence Day celebration set for July 4 on Medical Center campus

Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center will be the site for “An American Salute,” an Independence Day celebration. The concert -- beginning at 7 p.m., Monday, July 4, on the Medical Center's front lawn -- will feature a patriotic performance from the Hershey Symphony Orchestra. The event is free to the public. Food and beverages will be available for purchase throughout the evening. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs and blankets. Free, convenient parking is available.

At approximately 10 p.m. following the concert, attendees will be able to view HERSHEYPARK’s fireworks from the lawn.

The concert is sponsored by Penn State Hershey Medical Center, Penn State College of Medicine, the Hershey Symphony Orchestra and Hershey Entertainment & Resorts. This is the eighth year for the free holiday concert. Attendance has grown from 1,000 attendees to more than 4,000 in recent years.
