Associate dean wins bronze award for book

"John Doe No. 2 and the Dreamland Motel," a novel written by Kenneth Womack, associate dean for academic affairs at Penn State Altoona, has won bronze in the 2010 ForeWord Reviews Book of the Year Award in the Literary Fiction category. ForeWord Reviews has been one of the publishing industry’s most respected print magazine and online review service for readers, booksellers, book buyers, publishing insiders and librarians. ForeWord is published six times a year and each issue reaches an audience of 26,000 librarians and booksellers.

The Book of the Year Awards program was created to spotlight distinctive books from independent publishers. Final selections are made by working librarians and booksellers based on their experiences with patrons and customers.

Representing more than 350 publishers, the finalists were selected from 1,400 entries in 56 categories.
