Parking and bike information for new and returning Penn State students

University Park, Pa. -- Parking at Penn State is limited and cannot be guaranteed to all students. Those planning to park on campus must complete 28 credits prior to August 22. Parking assignments are on a first-come, first-serve basis. Students should not bring a car to campus without confirmed parking arrangements. This does not apply to those applying for commuter parking.

Students living off campus can register for either commuter parking or long-term parking beginning at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, July 19, online at www.transportation.psu.edu. Other parking options available in State College are also listed on the site.

Students living on campus can register their vehicle beginning at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, July 26 at www.transportation.psu.edu. Students should first visit the site to see their parking options.

Parking information during Fall Move-In can be downloaded at www.welcomeweek.psu.edu. The Unloading Permit section of this site will have a students move-in assignment time and unloading location. This will be available at the beginning of August.

Students bringing a bike to campus must register their bike. It can be done at www.transportation.psu.edu, by clicking on the "online" link beside the "register your bike" section. It is free to Penn State students, faculty and staff. When registration is complete, a registration sticker will be mailed out promptly.
