Penn State World Campus debuts new website

Mobile phone website, video student stories and enhanced ease of use are highlights of major World Campus website redesign

Penn State's World Campus has unveiled a major redesign of its website. The new website delivers enhanced ease of use and features a mobile edition, allowing smartphone users to access information about Penn State's online educational programs from anywhere. The site also features video student stories. To explore the new features, visit the World Campus website.

"Our goal in re-imagining the World Campus website is to make it easier for busy adults to find an educational program to complete a degree, advance their career or prepare for a new profession," said Wayne Smutz, executive director of Penn State World Campus and associate vice president for Academic Outreach.

Mobile access is a key feature of the redesigned website. With a smartphone, people can quickly search for the information they need to help them make decisions about their education whenever it is convenient for them. The easy-to-use navigation tools can take visitors to a wide array of new content, including videos of current students and recent graduates of the World Campus who provide first-person perspectives on what it's like to learn online and be a successful online student.

As Penn State's online campus, the World Campus offers the same educational benefits and student services as Penn State, but tailored specifically for online learners. The new website also puts all the tools prospective and current World Campus students need to prepare to learn online in one place. Among the support services available to online students are advising, tutoring and career services, as well as services for military personnel and veterans.
