Center for Performing Arts 'staged' annual patio party

Penn State's Center for Performing Arts held its annual Student Patio Party on Sept. 7 at an alternate location. Due to the wet weather on the University Park campus, the event was held on the broadway-sized stage of Eisenhower Auditorium. In past years the Student Patio Party had taken place on Eisenhower's front patio.

The festivities included a wide variety of foods, activities and prize give-aways for University Park students. Participants also were introduced to the new Center for Performing Arts season of shows and offered discounts on tickets.  Penn State's Center for Performing Arts will welcome a variety of shows to the University Park campus throughout the 2011-12 school year including the Irish Chamber Orchestra on Nov. 4 and the Vienna Boys Choir on Dec. 1.
